George Henry Bentz

George Henry Bentz was born on January 1, 1871 at Mt. Top (Dillburg), the son of Andrew George Bentz and Katherine Hershey.

He married Edith Lorn Turk, daughter of Mary E. Ely and Lewis H. Turk. She was born on May 25, 1875. They had six children.

He attended Nebraska Wesleyan University after marriage; was the Superintendent of Schools at Salem and Silver Creek, Nebraska. Graduate of Kansas City Medical College in 1901. Practiced medicine in Plymouth, Swanton, Havelock, Fairfield, and Kearny, Nebraska.

He served in WWI in France in the Medical Corps. He attained the rank of Major.

George Henry Bentz died June 3, 1933 in Fairfield, NE, and Edith Lorn Turk died in 1963.
