Philip Bentz is apparently from another Bentz line in the York, PA area. It of course is quite possible that there is a relationship going back to Germany; it is in the hope of this that I include his family information. I am new to this line, and intend this page for the time being as something of a placeholder until I have time to try to get it right.
Philip Bentz and wife Maria Elizabeth of York County, PA had John Philip Bentz/Pentz, born 1743. He was baptized at Christ Evan. Luth. at York. In 1776 he was married to Agnes Opp/Obb at Salem Luth., Dover Twp., York Co.
They had at least three children: Agnes, b.1769, John Henry, b.1771 and John Jacob, b.1774, all baptized at Salem Lutheran.
